Immutable Laws of Humanity: New Addition

After significant observation and consideration I have decided to add another entry into my Immutable Laws of Humanity. I think I have seen this in action enough to codify it.

The Law of Suggestions

If someone claims to welcome suggestions, be open to input, or interested in new ideas, it is only insomuch as they are suggestions, input, or ideas said person has already had. People, and organizations, which value creativity are already out generating ideas, and creating an environment and culture where they come organically. Only individuals and organizations that constrict ideas are so insecure or deluded they must claim they do not.

So, is it better to be closed minded and confident? I’ll have to try that approach!

No, the opposite. The Law is pointing out that most people are not open-minded, and the more they claim to be, the less they really are. This is generally dealing with collaborative environments, where people only think their own ideas are good ideas.
